Mandate
To create a poster, promoting our vernissage.
WALL TO WALL 2025
A poster to reflect our projects and the efforts put into what we did across the past three years.
Design Thinking
The idea was to create something very noticeable to reflect the idea of our works being basically plaster from Wall to Wall. Initially I wanted the poster to be a sort of in your face kind of thing and that feeling that you get when you enter an art gallery.
Design Making
For the layout I wanted to mimic a wallpaper-like base of the rectangle placements. I used a sans-serif font and put them in all caps, to convey the simplicity and the feeling of vastness. Placed on top and footer of “WALL” I added an effect to mimic frosted glass to simulate the feeling of overlapping. The concept extended from the base to the top of the poster making sure to maximize the space being used. For the sizing of the type, I wanted them to stretch large enough to touch both sides of the poster to mimic the “wall to wall”.
